The Event Cooperative understands that planning requires special attention to detail. We are happy, passionate people and we surround ourselves with like-minded professionals. Our vendor list is structured with these shared intentions in mind. It is our responsibility to operate as liaisons between our clients and the vendors that have been hired for their event. We take our role in communicating quite seriously and we will work cohesively with the team to ensure success.
The Event Cooperative supports many annual programs and fundraisers. Our clients return to work with us frequently, and our wedding couples will often refer us to their friends. We feel our reputation in the community will speak for itself. We have been working in the Charleston marketplace since 2003, and The Event Cooperative was created in 2011. We love what we do, and our past clients can tell you just how dedicated we are to each program that we manage.

We work to identify key details, make appropriate vendor referrals, negotiate contracts, outline timelines and provide day of event management for our clients. We understand how important it is for everyone to work seamlessly together, and The Event Cooperative understands how to effectively lead a team of vendors for the day. We offer a day-of coordination package to help our clients cover the basics. Advising the event planning through the last month before the event, we will oversee setup and help to coordinate other important ‘day-of’ details.
Catering to the special interests of your incoming travel group, our planning team will coordinate all transportation, dining, entertaining and touring plans to ease the efforts of your group travel. We welcome corporate and incentive travelers, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, and destination weddings.
Be still our hearts. We absolutely love festival production. We began volunteering for festival producers in 2003. By 2011, we were asked to begin producing large-scale events for our nonprofit partners and private hosts. It’s safe to say we enjoy entertaining crowds from 1-10,000.
The Event Cooperative will work to identify the desired venue for your event, and detailing the look through vision boards and event layouts. We will then coordinate with our trusted vendors to help bring this vision to life. Our team can help to personalize everything from your linens to your layout and gifts.
The Event Cooperative will ensure a superior level of customer service in working together. Our full service planning packages will provide all the bells and whistles necessary for hosting your incoming group. We are available to coordinate all transportation, activities, dinner reservations, and meeting space.

About 2 months before our wedding date my wife was rushed to emergency brain surgery and all of the sudden our entire focus shifted from the wedding to my wife's recovery. I had never been so scared in my life. We had 275 guests coming to our wedding with over half coming from out of town. We quickly realized we needed someone to step in and talk over the wedding coordination and final details when we were introduced to Maryann. She was our angel in our time of need. She took care of every last detail and took our vision for our wedding day and made it a reality.
Maryann helped ensure that all elements of the wedding were taken care of and gave me the best wedding gift of all - being completely present on the day I marry my husband, and not spending a single second thinking about the details. From coordinating with the vendors, putting together our welcome bags, providing suggestions for vendors and services, to setting up and taking down, she and her staff gave me a flawless wedding day.
We would have given The Event Cooperative 6 out of 5 stars if possible for value and service. There are so many personal details you put into the planning of a wedding. It is invaluable to be able to hand over the reins and trust another to execute that vision. The success of the day is a tribute to all the vendors but Maryann was definitely the glue the pulled us across the finish line. I would highly recommend her and work with her again.
Madison, I never got to say thank you on that evening, but I will tell you that with photographing over 500 weddings in the last 16 years, that I must say you went above and beyond the call of duties as a coordinator. You had the room ready decorated and looking marvelous way before the timeline, every vendor on time and ready to go, and of course with all of that we all managed to provide our clients Karen & Matt amazing service.
